As a follow up to my Lubricated Condoms post, I wanted to focus on Aqua Lube. The interesting thing about Aqua Lube is that it was such a successful aspect of the Kimono brand condom that it was spun off as its own discrete product. As you may know, Kimono is branded as an ultra thin condom, and yet ultra thin though a condom may be, it’s telling to note that the quality of the lubricant is clearly also something that is very much on consumers’ minds.

One of the few personal lubricant accessories out there to consider is the lubricant applicator. Applicators are essentially just containers the user fills with lubricant, which dispenses as a plunger is depressed. They are by and large used for anal application, and the main raison d’être is cutting down on mess. However, the fact that some applicators are not recommended for use with silicone-based lubricants seems to run contrary to its main purpose of neatness, as silicone—not water-based—lubricants are the one’s known for their messiness.
