A question I here from time to time is, “How much lubricant should I be using?”
There aren’t any formulas, exact measurements, or ratios; The answer is, enough to make you and your partner comfortable, but not so much that you lose the feeling of contact.
If it’s the perfect amount for your pleasure it’s not too much.
But here’s where it gets tricky…what if what seemed like the perfect amount in the beginning starts to wear off (as can sometimes happen with water-based lubricants) in the middle? Should you overcompensate during the initial application in anticipation of this?
I wouldn’t recommend this approach. The goal should be maximum pleasure throughout intimacy. To achieve this, it’s much more pleasurable (and fun) to apply your ideal amount at the outset and then reapply as needed.

We’ve all heard of warming lubricants, but Durex is now offering a new sesation, “tingling.” What exactly does tingling mean? Is it something we’d want? Check it out and see, or wait for the follow up post. It’s nice to know, though, that there’s always something new out there in the world of personal lubrication. From what I’ve heard thus far, this product gets results on all parts of the body.
